Found Travel Toys: Pringles Can
Baby Eilan is in what I consider the hardest age for traveling with children - the 6 months between age one and 18 months. He is mobile enough to want to get into everything, has little or no judgment about what is safe, and needs a new toy approximately every three minutes.
When we travel together, I'm constantly on the lookout for everyday objects that can serve as travel toys, and then be discarded. Guess what the smash hit toy was on our flight home from Puerto Rico this weekend?
That's right, a travel sized can of Pringles purchased on board our air flight. Why? The lid is soft, and fun to pull off. The can is big enough to fill with other, smaller toys, and best of all the metal bottom makes a satisfying "clang" sound when you put something hard in the can. When you get tired of all that, the can makes a nice hat for your mom.
Readers: What's your favorite "found" travel toy?
PS. I have no relationship with Pringles, and don't even buy this brand of chips normally.

That is so CLASSIC! Leave it to the kiddos to come up with something to play with that you never would have thought of.

My kiddo (15 months) loves any cabinet drawer he can open and close (over and over and over and over again). Particularly now that all the ones at home have child locks!

The little creamer cups at restraunts are always fun, you can make little towers, or line them up. Just dont let them get chewed on.

I have a zippered 5"x8" pouch that my 17 month old loves to play with. It has random stuff in it - 2 lip glosses (w/ screw on tops, so he can't open them), a pocket calendar, some old coupons, a clip, a pen, a travel-sized plastic container, etc. He loves trying to work the zipper, and then he loves to take the stuff out and put it back in.

my now 5 year old has 2 long time favorites - the little cups from airplane bathrooms and the colored sugar packets in restaurants - lots of building/sorting/hiding/guessing games with them

Our nineteen Month old has always been such a big fan of the plastic water bottle that we've considered throwing some glitter in one and marketing it as "Bottley, the friendly water bottle!"

Just shows you that some things we take for granted can be so much fun for kids. My mum always used to give me and my sister plastic IKEA cups....hours of fun.
