The day we leave for a trip is always a mad dash with packing last minute items, cleaning out the refrigerator, emptying the trash, etc. Add to that the fact that kids and babies pick up on your stress and get a little wired themselves. Leave as little as possible for the last day, packing everything that can be packed the night before. If you have a regular sitter who can come watch the kids for a little while on your day of departure, it can be a huge help while you complete any last minute items.

Hey Debbie,
I'm traveling to egypt from Florida next week with my 15 month old son. Our flight there is at night, so I'm hoping he will sleep the majority of the time, but coming back we leave Cairo at 930am. Between that and the 7 hour difference, do you have any tips on how I should plan his sleep/napping that day?
Thanks so much for any input :)
