Austin has a number of kid friendly restaurants, but Waterloo Ice House on Capital of Texas Highway is one of the best that we've found. Why?
We have a super "busy" toddler who struggles with sitting still for longer than it takes her to eat. Waterloo has a great playscape and picnic tables in back. When we prefer to dine indoors, my husband gets in some extra Daddy time while I order and wait for our food (and get some quiet Mommy time). When the food arrives, we eat, and if Little Bit gets squirmy at the end of the meal, it's back outside for more play. She's also beat by the time we get home. :)
The kid menu has standard fare, but you can order the chicken strips grilled and substitute fries / tots with veggies if you prefer.
